The virtual machine on linux does not have enough disk space for downtime. Is there any way to get it back to normal use?

VMware, an old machine installed on linux, doesn"t pay much attention to it at ordinary times, but it suddenly can"t be connected today. As a result, it is found that there is not enough disk space to turn on the machine. The boot display is shown in the following figure

.

for the first time, I directly right-click the virtual machine to modify the disk space, but it doesn"t work.
then I added a new hard disk, but I can"t power on the machine and can"t mount it
what should I do, ladies and gentlemen?

you need to release more free space under the path / data/VM/windows2003/Windows2003 203 , this is not the disk in the virtual machine, this is because your linux machine is out of disk space, so it is useless to modify the virtual machine.
