What if I can't open the / usr/bin/rsync folder when installing rsync?

I watched the https://www.ilanni.com/?p=8499
step by step in this tutorial, but when it comes to configuration files, I can"t get into the rsync folder, so it"s impossible to create an etc folder to create and configure rsyncd.conf, rsyncd.password
, or do I understand something wrong?

[root@localhost ~]-sharp which rsync
/usr/bin/rsync
[root@localhost ~]-sharp ^C
[root@localhost ~]-sharp cd /usr/bin/rsync
-bash: cd: /usr/bin/rsync: Not a directory

  • / usr/bin/rsync is a binary file, not a directory
  • configuration file is in / etc/rc.local , and has nothing to do with / usr/bin/rsync
