How to configure gradle? for flutter projects

debugging a project generated by the flutter plug-in using VSC shows that gradle (Initializing gradle.)
it automatically downloads ~ / .gradle/wrapper/dists/gradle-4.10.2-all/
and then gets stuck here, complaining about the domestic network.
I have manually installed gradle5.0 to / opt and configured the environment variables. Why not find the installed gradle? automatically?
